Day 01:Arrive Paro, Paro to Thimphu
We receive you at the Bhutan’s only air port, Paro Air port. Then we drive to Thimphu the Capital City which is approximately 55 km from the airport.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.

Day 02:Thimphu

We brief you the day’s schedules.
The day is for sight seeing in Thimphu, we go to Bhutan’s National Library where you can see a vast collection of Buddhist texts and other English version of Bhutanese Collection of Books.
From there we move to National Institute of Zorig Chusum (widely known as the Painting school), roughly translated as the Thirteen Bhutanese skills of arts where people are trained for six years to master the art. Then we go to the National Institute of Traditional Medicine(Outside Only). This institute is practicing and training Bhutanese traditional medicines and it’s found quite useful for the Bhutanese public and has grown more popular these days. After the Lunch we visit the Memorial Chorten. This chorten (Stupa) was built in the memory of the late Third King of Bhutan, King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck and also as a symbol of world peace. Our next big destination will be Tashi Chhodzong (“the Fortress of the glorious religion”). This is the seat of His Majesty, Government officials and the Central Monk Body.
History claims that this Dzong was built without any nails or any architectural designs.
Folk heritage and textile museum will be our next destination where you will see various types of Bhutanese textiles displayed

Lastly we will walk in the city and check out some handicraft shops.

Day 03:Thimphu to Trongsa
After an early breakfast in Thmphu we travel towards Trongsa a day’s journey. We will be stopping after an hours drive in one of the highest road point in western Bhutan, Dochu-la pass. The place is decorated by 108 small chortens built by one of the Queen. The place is also decorated with prayer flags and in a cloudless day we can behold the beautiful snow caped mountains. It is at approximately 3088m/ 10130ft above sea level.

Then we descend 1700m below Dochula and reach about an hour and half to Wangdue Phodrang bridge check post from where we can see the Giant Wangdue Phodrang Dzong on the Ridge towering the Wangdue River.
After having lunch at Wangdue Phodrang we then enter into the central Bhutan zone and via another highest point on road called Pele-la pass.(3300m/ 10830 ft above sea level). After this point the vegetation changes from mountain forest to High altitude shrubs and draft bamboos.

We stop at Chendebji Chorten (Stupa), a small size replica of Kathmandu’s (Nepal) Swayambhunath Stupa. It was built by a Tibetan Lama (Guru) known as Shida after having subdued the demon of the region and trapped underneath the stupa.
Late afternoon we reach Trongsa, check in the tourist class hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 04:Trongsa to Bumthang
After breakfast, we visit Trongsa Dzong the longest dzong in Bhutan. The leader of Trongsa has proved to be the strongest among all the other regional leaders during the civil unrest era from early 17th till late 18th Century, it was also built by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1647. Then we climb up a steep path to visit the Ta Dzong (watchtower), it was dedicated to Our Epic Hero King, “Ling Gesar Gyelpo”.We get ready and drive to Bumthang, one of the most beautiful valley in Bhutan, 68 km. from Trongsa, a journey of about 3 hours, over the Yutong-la pass (3,400m/11,155ft). The road winds steeply up to the pass, 28 km. from Trongsa, then runs down through coniferous forest into a wide, open, cultivated valley known as the Chumey valley. Upon arrival we check you into your lodge. After lunch, visit Kurje Lhakhang (Temple) (The great Teacher,Guru’s Body is believed to be imprinted in the Rock) , Jambey Lhakhang (Temple) (built in 7th century on the same night when Kichu Lhakhang in Paro was Built ), Tamshing Monastery (have some of the Finest and oldest Bhutanese paintings), and Jakar Dzong (administrative center of Bumthang). Way back we can visit some farm houses. If interested will visit some of the local handicrafts shops and take for sight seeing around the small town.

Day 5-Bumthang-to-Punakha
We will visit places after early breakfast and move back to Punakha via Trongsa and Wangdue.

We will stop for lunch at Trongsa. Later in Wangdue Phodrang we will go around places for sight seeing then Drive to Punakha (a short distance drive from Wangdue Phodrang).

Day 06:Punakha to Paro

After early breakfast, we visit places in Punakha especially the Punakha Dzong.
Punakha is one of the most important places you find in the history of Bhutan. Be it the central place of political ruling during the reign of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel (The man who unified Bhutan) in the sixteenth century or the place where Tibetans surrendered to Bhutanese during their invasion to our country (The day is still celebrated to these days). More over Punakha Dzong is built in between two big river called Pho-chhu and Mo-Chhu (The Male and Female Rivers). It was built there because of the security reasons during that era but today it is a beautiful sight to behold and one of the key destinations for tourists.
Although four catastrophic fires and an earthquake in past times destroyed many historic documents, Punakha Dzong still houses many sacred and historic artifacts and also the embalmed body of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Punakha is still the winter residence for the Monk body of Bhutan.
Later we drive back to Paro on the way we stop at semthokha Dzong, the oldest Dzong in Bhutan.

We reach Paro late afternoon.

Day 07:Paro
Here you have a choice to go to Paro Takshang, Paro’s most popular and holiest temple hanging in the cliff, a day’s hike to the top of the mountain.  Or
Go for sightseeing in Paro Valley. There are so many places to visit in Paro, we will first start from Paro Taa Dzong ( The national Museum of Bhutan). It was originally a watch tower during the civil unrest in Bhutan in earlier centuries. Taa Dzong house a tremendous historical facts of Bhutan. Just below Taa Dzong we reach the Paro Rinpung Dzong (“fortress of the heap of jewels”). The political history of Paro begins from this Fortress, today it is the offices of the local Government servants and the Monk body.
After lunch we go for a beautiful twelve kilometers drive to the ruins of Drugyel Dzong (The fortress of Victory). This ruin fortress( now a tourist destination) has a story of defeating the Tibetan invasion to Bhutan through Paro. Then way back we will visit the Kichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and holiest temple in Bhutan built in the 7th century.

Day 08:Depart Paro

After early breakfast in the hotel, drive to the airport for flight to onward destination.
