The western Face of Bhutan.
Day 01:Arrive Paro, Paro to Thimphu
After your wonderful flight through Druk Air, we welcome you to Bhutan. On completion of airport formalities, there will be an interesting drive of about one and half hours’ duration to Thimphu, the modern Capital town of Bhutan.
Dinner and overnight at the tourist class hotel in Thimphu.

Day 02:Thimphu to Punakha
Though very small, Thimphu is the Capital city of Bhutan. This hustling and bustling town is the home to Royal Family, It has many Government Ministries offices and offices of Internationally funded foreign agencies. The city is one of the most crowed in the country, as per record it has around 70 thousand population.
After breakfast, we brief you the day’s tour program, sightseeing in Thimphu valley, we will first visit the National Institute of Traditional Medicine (Outside Only) where the Bhutanese Traditional medicines are made and peoples are trained, next we will visit the National Library, housing an extensive collection of priceless Buddhist manuscripts, then we go to the Institute for Zorig Chusum (commonly known as the Painting School) where students undergo a 6-year training course in Bhutan’s 13 traditional arts and crafts.
In Thimphu we will visit Trashichodzong “the Fortress of the glorious religion”. This is the central Government house where the Political and Religious heads’ offices are located. It was built in 1641 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal (The man who unified Bhutan in 1600s, it was reconstructed in the 1960s in traditional Bhutanese manner, without nails or architectural plans. Before going for lunch we visit the National Memorial chorten.(1974) which was built for Our Third King “Druk Gyelpo Jigme Dorji Wangchuck” historically known as The Father of Modern Bhutan.
Early evening, we drive over Dochu-la pass (3,088m/10,130ft) to Punakha. Overnight at the tourist class hotel in Punakha.

Day03:Punakha-to Wangduephodrang to Paro
After early breakfast, we visit places in Punakha especially the Punakha Dzong.
Punakha is one of the most important places you find in the history of Bhutan. Be it the central place of political ruling during the reign of Zhabdrung Ngawang

Namgyel (The man who unified Bhutan) in the sixteenth century or the place where Tibetans surrendered to Bhutanese force during their invasion to our country (The day is still celebrated to these days). More over, Punakha Dzong is built in between two big river called Pho-chhu and Mo-Chhu (The Male and Female Rivers). It was built there because of the security reasons during that era but today it is a beautiful sight to behold and one of the key destinations for tourists.

Although four catastrophic fires and an earthquake in past times destroyed many historic documents, Punakha Dzong still houses many sacred and historic artifacts and also the embalmed body of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Punakha is still the winter residence for the Monk body of Bhutan.
Later we drive to Wangduephodrang yet another important historical place. From the check point near the Wangdue river you can see Wangduephodrang Dzong majestically on top of a big hill and the most important figure in the area. Wangduephodrang played a very crucial role in unifying the western, central and southwestern part of Bhutan. After having lunch in one of the Bhutanese hotels we will visit the local market and go around places.
Later we drive back to Paro. Dinner and overnight in Paro tourist class hotel.

Day 04:Paro
If someone asks any Bhutanese which is their favorite place in Bhutan most would say it is definitely Paro. Paro is blessed with many gifts, Gifts of nature, historical facts, monuments, breathtaking landscape and many more, which we will explore together. That’s why giant foreign chain hotels like Aman and Como Hotels & Resorts seeing the potential of the place, have invested a lot in this place. These are the two five star rating hotels in Paro,

and the first even Foreign Direct Investment allowed by the Government of Bhtuan.
There are so many places to visit in Paro, we will first from Paro Taa Dzong ( The national Museum of Bhutan). It was originally a watch tower during the civil unrest in Bhutan in earlier centuries. Taa Dzong house tremendous historical facts of Bhutan. Just below Taa Dzong we reach the Paro Rinpung Dzong (“fortress of the heap of jewels”). The Political history of Paro begins from this Fortress, today it is the offices of the local Government servants and the Monk body.
After lunch we go for a beautiful twelve kilometers drive to the ruins of Drugyel Dzong (The fortress of Victory). This ruin fortress (now a tourist destination) has a story of defeating the Tibetan invasion to Bhutan through Paro. Then way back we visit the Kichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and holiest temple in Bhutan built in the 7th century.

Later in the evening we visit Mr. Tshering Dorji’s farm house, a chance to know the typical example of Bhutanese culture and lifestyles. We also arrange your interaction with the host. After that we have a nice stroll in the Paro town and check out some fascinating handicrafts shops. Dinner and overnight in Paro tourist class hotel.
Day 05:Departure from Paro
As per your flight timing we will arrange your smooth departure from Paro Airport. We bid you good bye wishing that you visit our home land once again.
